Supporting Rainbow Resource Centre & Our Own Health Centre

This year's 2024 Doctors Manitoba Awards Gala is not only recognizing seven outstanding Manitoba based physicians. We're also raising funds to support two amazing local charities, Rainbow Resource Centre and Our Own Health Centre.

Rainbow Resource Centre, is Canada's longest running 2SLGBTQ+ centre. Rainbow offers support to the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the form of counselling, education, and programming for individuals ranging from children through to 55+. It also supports families, friends, and employers of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Rainbow is currently building Canada's first affordable housing complex for 2SLGBTQ+ older adults.

Our Own Health Centre is the expansion of the former Gay Men's Health Clinic which was started by Dr. Dick Smith. OOHC is an award-winning and nationally recognized medical clinic right here in Winnipeg which specializes in care for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. OOHC's primary vision is that 2SLGBTQ+ people and MSM deserve optimal health care which takes into account the specific health and wellness needs of each individual.
